Scholarships
The Women's Commission of Southwest Louisiana, Inc. is pleased to award four $1000 scholarships for non-traditional students at McNeese State University and Sowela Technical Community College.
The Women's Commission contributes funds received from the Annual October Fall Conference to McNeese State University and Sowela Technical Community College for scholarships. To date, the Women's Commission has given in excess of $50,000 in scholarships to local colleges to support non-traditional students working to complete their degrees The Women's Commission has also completed a donation to the McNeese Foundation to endow a Women's Commission Scholarship.
Non traditional McNeese and Sowela students meeting the criteria for selection can make application and submit an essay to Scholarship Office. Applications are screened by the Scholarship Office then forwarded to the Women's Commission for final selection.
